Job Description:

This role involves supporting the US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) program, which aids DoD intelligence sharing on global threats. The team supports combatant commands worldwide, directly aiding warfighters. We seek a creative, driven professional passionate about solving real-world issues within a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with network staff for reliable operation of systems and software to meet business objectives.
  • Work with leadership and stakeholders to define requirements, systems goals, and resolve issues.

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Design network architecture for new and existing systems.
  • Perform complex network development, upgrades, and documentation.
  • Test networks to ensure they meet user requirements.

Operational Management

  • Identify and resolve network problems.
  • Provide training and technical guidance.
  • Determine network specifications and hardware/software compatibility.
  • Lead and guide less-experienced engineers as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 10+ years of network administration experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II compliance.
  • ITIL V4 Foundation certification within six months.
  • CCNA certification.
  • Experience with routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS and hardware.
  • Ability to configure/troubleshoot Multicast, DMVPN, GRE tunnels.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, organization skills, and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • CCNP Routing and Switching or Enterprise.
  • Experience with SolarWinds, firewalls, VoIP, HAIPE encryption, virtualization, data center networking, and security practices.

The salary range is $91,811 - $124,200, based on experience, location, and contractual factors. The position is onsite at USA HI Camp Smith, requiring 10-25% travel, with a 40-hour work week.
