Job Description

Hitachi Rail Honolulu is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated O&M Telecommunications Engineer based in Pearl City, HI, USA. The role demands a dynamic individual ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Ensure project delivery by managing O&M requirements throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating documentation, training, and interface management.
2. Monitor and support telecommunication and network systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
3. Support field technicians, conduct failure reports, and maintain system configurations and audits.
4. Analyze logs, manage spare parts, and ensure system compliance with technical specifications.
5. Serve as the primary contact for signaling and telecommunications change management activities.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of TLC Systems, components, and testing equipment.
• 2 to 5+ years of field experience.
• Experience with Rail Transit Signaling Systems such as ATC, CBTC, PTC.
• Proficiency with tools and test equipment; strong analytical skills.

Desired Skills and Knowledge

• Experience with MMIS, various rail subsystem knowledge, fault troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of software configuration, Linux/UNIX, and operational processes.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and under pressure.

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.

Languages

English proficiency required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $89,760 - $134,640, with final pay based on experience and skills. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid vacation, and training opportunities.
