Description Under the direct supervision of the Day/Outpatient Clinical Supervisor, the Outpatient Counselor provides clients with individual counseling for personal development. Provides substance use disorder group counseling, skill building sessions, and alcohol/drug education classes. Implements program activities and supervises outpatient, day treatment, and aftercare clients. Hours are from 12pm to 8pm, Monday through Friday. In-person/on-site attendance required.Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or an advanced clinical degree in human services, such as a master's in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or social work, is preferred. For non-CSACs, willingness to work toward obtaining CSAC certification within two years of hire is required. Two years of direct work experience in substance use disorder treatment services is preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to produce effective treatment plans, updates, and perform appropriate discharge planning, including viable discharge summaries.
