Description

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director, the Admissions Counselor performs a wide range of assessment and intake-related duties. They maintain significant contact with public and private agencies, representing Addiction Treatment Services to promote public awareness of the agency's programs and substance abuse issues. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, coordinating with referring agencies, and admitting clients into the ATS treatment continuum.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Human Services or related field (preferred)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Maturity, insight, and sound judgment
• Demonstrated progress in obtaining CSAC certification within 2 years of hire
• Experience in identifying and evaluating substance use disorders
• Knowledge of social, cultural, and economic factors on Oahu
• Skills in communication within a multi-cultural environment
