Job Overview

We are seeking a remote Cleared Senior Full-stack Engineer for a defense tech software start-up, engaged by AEP Hawaii. This role involves building mission-critical applications to defend our nation and the Pacific, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers to shape technical and product visions using a modern tech stack.

Compensation

Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr. Additionally, the role offers $180,000 - $215,000 base salary plus equity, with remote work and travel one week per month.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience in a high-growth startup environment (Series A-D) with security clearance.
• Proficiency in React and responsive, high-performance UI development.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres), caching tools (Redis), and object storage (S3).
• Knowledge of best practices for testing web applications.
• Must be a U.S. resident or citizen with security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new features and user interfaces.
• Architect efficient, reusable front-end systems optimized for high-performance web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-focused products.
• Lead significant feature development and architectural improvements.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior team members.
