Aircraft Mechanics Needed (Part Time, Honolulu Location)

Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT) are responsible for performing high quality aircraft maintenance on various types of transport category aircraft. AMT's must possess a valid FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technician license. Experience on common transport category aircraft such as B-777, B-747, B-737, B-767 and/or Airbus 319/320/321 is a plus, but all levels of experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Performs aircraft maintenance transit inspections and fault resolution.
  • Accomplishes aircraft system testing and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Removes and replaces defective parts, including final operational checks.
  • Operates all power tools and equipment necessary for the job.
  • Completes maintenance records accurately and promptly.
  • Interprets technical manuals, engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Operates ground handling equipment used to service aircraft.
  • Supports company policies and safety programs.
  • Performs tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Is reliable and dependable.
  • Attention to detail and excellent customer service are essential.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Station Manager.

Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technician license with Airframe and Power Plant ratings.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Willing to work in inclement weather.
  • U.S. citizen or proof of right to work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
  • Ability to work under stress and tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, team player.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
  • Pass background check, FBI fingerprinting, criminal history, and drug test.

Additional Skills

  • Language skills: ability to read, interpret, write reports, and communicate effectively, including with international customers.
  • Math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals.
  • Reasoning: following instructions, problem-solving with concrete variables.

Physical Demands

  • Lift, carry, push, pull 30-50 lbs unassisted.
  • Visual and hearing requirements, use of PPE.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Work at heights up to 100 feet, use ladders, work on platforms.
  • Operate vehicles and heavy equipment.

Salary Range: $40.00 - $45.00/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
