Description

In Hawaiian, “Aliamanu” means “the resting place of the birds.” Founded in 1958, our school is located on a 15-acre parcel of land formerly belonging to the Navy. It is set in a geographical depression, possibly the crater of an ancient volcano.

There are approximately 800 students enrolled each year. About 70% are military dependents from various branches, creating a diverse and dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications

The Hawaii State Department of Education requires a Bachelor's Degree as the minimum qualification for teachers, librarians, and counselors, with exceptions for certain CTE positions. Candidates hired without a completed Teacher's Education Program have up to 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license, demonstrating active pursuit annually. A valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required upon hire.

Payday

First paycheck within 3 pay periods; paydays are on the 5th and 20th of each month.
