DoD SkillBridge - Business Development Manager (Active Duty Military Only)

Through DoD SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes, Sierra Nevada Corporation offers internships to service members transitioning to civilian careers. As a Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include meeting with customers, facilitating new business opportunities, and developing and executing capture strategies. You will oversee market assessment, monitor market activity, identify customer needs, and support new product development planning. Your duties will also involve evaluating program opportunities based on market potential, core competencies, revenue, company capacity, and business forecasts.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) division is a leader in ISR and aviation, specializing in high-performance systems, including design, integration, testing, certification, training, and logistics support. We tailor solutions to meet customer requirements, consistently delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Active duty military status and eligibility for the DoD SkillBridge program
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education
• Typically, 8+ years of progressive business development experience, including 6+ years in management
• Advanced knowledge of US Department of Defense Military programs or Civil Space services, and acquisition procedures
• Ability to interpret technical ideas for diverse audiences
• Experience in technical marketing, proposal development, and program management or engineering design
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with proposal coordination
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Background in Aerospace, Defense Industry, US Department of Defense, or US Military
