How a Network Administrator Senior Will Make an Impact:

• Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and usage of local area network systems.
• Studies contractor products to determine those which best meet company needs; assists in presentation of information to management resulting in purchase and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment.
• Manages network performance and maintains network security, ensuring security procedures are implemented and enforced.
• Installs all network software and evaluates, develops, and maintains telecommunications systems.
• Troubleshoots network problems, establishes and implements network policies, procedures, and standards, and trains users on network operation.
• Performs administration duties for networking hardware including routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, network interface cards, cables, bridges, modems, firewalls, etc.
• Must have a firm grasp of fiber and copper Ethernet technologies and connectivity to LAN/WAN.
• Monitors and responds to hardware/software problems, installs and configures network hardware/software, provides troubleshooting, and offers technical support and training.
• Administers network security, backs up data, maintains servers, manages user accounts, and resolves infrastructure issues.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience.
• Preferred Skills/Experience: Knowledge of network troubleshooting, hardware, desktop OS, and applications.
• Clearance Level: TS/SCI
• Required Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 CE certification, Security+, CCNA or CCNA-Security.
• Location: On Customer Site
• Additional: Willing to attain CI Polygraph, physical activity, travel may be required.

Additional Information:

Salary range: $83,300 - $112,700, based on experience and location. 40 hours/week, 10-25% travel, onsite work at Fort Shafter.
