Position Title

Assistant Food Service Operations Manager

Reports To

Food Service Operations Manager and General Manager

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure excellent guest service and support operational systems and processes.
  2. Assist in season planning, equipment needs, and operational excellence.
  3. Support financial forecasting, merchandising, and business organization.
  4. Oversee staff training, orientation, and safety compliance.
  5. Handle guest needs and complaints efficiently, maintaining quality and cleanliness.
  6. Document performance and manage employee discipline in line with policies.
  7. Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
  8. Support daily food service operations, including front-of-house management.
  9. Coordinate maintenance and repairs of facilities and equipment.
  10. Build positive relationships with client staff.
  11. Ensure consistency and high quality across operations, including menu planning.
  12. Manage vendor invoices and payments.
  13. Assist in managing payroll and controlling costs.
  14. Schedule staff according to budget and forecast.
  15. Perform additional tasks as needed, maintaining compliance with policies.

Job Requirements

  1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
  3. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  4. Financial, merchandising, and analytical skills.
  5. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Basic computer skills.
  7. Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
  8. Flexible working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Previous Experience

  1. At least two years of operations management experience.
  2. ServSafe or Food Handling Certification.
  3. All educational backgrounds eligible, must be 18+.
