Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager or Supervisor, this position is responsible for month-end closing procedures, financial and statistical reporting variances, and trend analysis for the Trust Services Group. Ensures services meet the quality expectations of our customers in accordance with department and division activities and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate production of month-end closing processing, financial and statistical reports, and analysis. Stay updated on regulatory and financial reporting requirements, communicating changes to staff and management.
  • Prepare and analyze reports for agencies such as FFIEC and SEC. Complete memos, reports, and correspondence. Track delinquencies and coordinate with Trust Officers for resolution. Review documentation for compliance. Respond to auditors, vendors, and financial institutions' requests.
  • Assist in establishing and updating departmental policies and procedures. Coordinate departmental activities to meet goals. Attend training to develop skills.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments, customers, and technical support to ensure smooth workflow and timely, accurate service delivery.
  • Serve as backup to Supervisors and staff as needed.
  • Manage special projects, conducting research, analysis, and implementation of solutions.
  • Monitor operations to meet service quality standards and deadlines, ensuring policies are followed and errors corrected.
  • Prepare schedules for regulatory and external auditors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience. CPA preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, Bank systems, and SQL. Ability to use tools for research and analysis.
  • Strong communication, detail orientation, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects. Effective interpersonal skills and flexibility to work hours as needed.
