Job Summary

The Assistant Manager will assist the General Manager in gym operations to ensure an exceptional “Judgment Free” member experience and a financially successful club. Responsibilities include leading and training a team, ensuring excellent customer service, managing daily operations, overseeing facility cleanliness and safety, supporting marketing efforts, handling administrative tasks, and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team.
2. Create a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests.
3. Manage team schedules, lead by example, and resolve issues.
4. Handle front desk activities including member check-ins, sign-ups, and tours.
5. Ensure gym opening/closing, oversee cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
6. Manage marketing, authorize expenditures, and handle banking deposits.
7. Prepare HR forms and track reports.
8. Provide backup support for absent team members.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Customer service background preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Basic computer skills.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and reliability.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.

Physical Demands

• Standing, walking, talking during shift.
• Ability to work overnight shifts.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Encounter with chemicals; various physical positions required.
