DecisiveInstincts, LLC has an immediate opportunity for a Cybersecurity SME requiring a Top Secret (SCI Eligible) clearance located in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering cybersecurity and RMF/FISMA support to US Government (USG) mission owners by distributing current policy and providing guidance and mentorship to cyber forces to ensure compliance.

Travel is required in the INDOPAC Region (Guam, Japan, S. Korea, etc.).

Salary: $130-170K

Duties And Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert will:

  1. Deliver cybersecurity and RMF/FISMA support to USG mission owners, distributing current policy, and providing guidance and mentorship to cyber forces to ensure compliance.
  2. Assist USG sites in improving and maintaining implementation of congressional FISMA, DoD, and AF cybersecurity directives.
  3. Conduct on-site and/or virtual A&A validation and reviews using National/DoD/AF standards, develop A&A artifacts, and maintain A&A packages.
  4. Track and update documents in databases such as CAP for SNAP, GIAP, eMASS, ITIPS, and CMRS.
  5. Create and maintain RMF products for theater circuits/enclaves via eMASS, assist with RMF deliverables, and synchronize data across repositories.
  6. Process circuit connection requests, mentor personnel, and train in DoD security tools.
  7. Consult on vulnerability scanning tools and endpoint security solutions.
  8. Assist in preparing for Cyber Operations Readiness Assessments (CORA) and Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspections (CCORI), create assessment scores and risk reports, and recommend mitigations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Top Secret (TS)/SCI clearance and DoD 8570.1-M certification at IAT Level 3 with one of the following: CASP+ CE, CCNP-Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP.
  • 2-3 years of experience assessing cyber risk, identifying mission sets, and defending missions per Federal, National, DoD, USAF CIO, and US State Department requirements.
  • 2-3 years applying and advising on cybersecurity requirements, understanding AF Cyber architecture and USG site roles, with ability to travel (up to 40%).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; security training certifications.
  • Experience with RMF/FISMA/ATO A&A, maintaining accreditation, DISA Connection Approval Process, and conducting security assessments with DISA STIGs.
  • Expertise in FISMA compliance, A&A process vehicles, and tools for CORA & CCORI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to deliver cybersecurity and RMF/FISMA support, distribute policy, and guide cyber forces.
  • Knowledge of FISMA, DoD, AF directives, and experience with A&A validation using National/DoD/AF standards.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining A&A artifacts, packages, and tracking documents in databases.
  • Ability to create and synchronize RMF products, process circuit connection requests, and mentor personnel.
  • Experience with CORA & CCORI, assessment scoring, and risk reporting.
  • Proficiency with MS Teams, SharePoint, VoIP, and briefing technical info to diverse audiences, including senior leaders.
