This position reports directly to the Executive Director of U.S.VETS and is responsible for the coordination and supervision of services and programs delivered by U.S.VETS. The programs aim to assist homeless veterans, non-veterans, and families with children to achieve independence and transition to permanent housing. The work schedule is mainly Monday through Friday, with some evenings and weekends, and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

1. Develops a therapeutic milieu in accordance with the U.S.VETS Mission and Philosophy.
2. Monitors department progress in meeting goals and objectives.
3. Fosters relationships with VA & other veteran-specific clinical programs to increase continuity of care.
4. Supervises Program Team and oversees service delivery including community service, transportation, client appointments, and clinical activities.
5. Collaborates with Clinical Department on client care issues.
6. Supervises Workforce Coordinator and oversees job readiness programs, performance goals, and reports to the Executive Director.
7. Supervises Facility Maintenance and related site management processes.
8. Oversees departments such as Service Center, SSVF, Outreach, ensuring cohesive service provision.
9. Facilitates regular program meetings and reports on progress and outcomes.
10. Ensures organizational and site safety compliance.
11. Approves program requests for purchases.
12. Coordinates special projects and develops additional programs/resources.
13. Provides direct services like crisis intervention, counseling, case management, and outreach.
14. Maintains vehicle inventory and safety for agency-owned vehicles.
15. Oversees Food Service Operations and inventory management.
16. Ensures emergency supplies and food storage readiness.
17. Participates in weekly conference calls with U.S.VETS National Office.
18. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
• At least two years of experience in program management, staff supervision, program development, and budget management.
• Strong personal integrity and work ethic.
• Leadership and conflict management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with homeless veterans, non-veterans, and diverse populations.
• Ability to work effectively with various groups, including clients, staff, and community stakeholders.
• Clean driving record and ability to operate agency vehicles safely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
