Base pay range

$75,640.00/yr - $75,640.00/yr

Duties

  1. Support services via home visits and classroom settings to provide psychological, educational support, and counseling to new parents. Education includes positive parenting skills, healthy pregnancy promotion, parent-child attachment, newborn cues, and couple communication.
  2. Provide information on available services, refer parents to military and civilian agencies for assessment, support, and role modeling.
  3. Develop and implement programs to strengthen parenting skills, prevent child abuse, and promote mental health. Deliver parent education programs.
  4. Conduct clinical assessments, collaborate with agencies, offer early intervention, and develop strategies for successful parenting. Consult with hospital professionals on abuse and at-risk individuals.
  5. Establish and maintain professional contacts to stay updated on research, training, and clinical practices related to the NPSP.
  6. Maintain case records confidentially, safeguard sensitive information, and comply with relevant regulations.
  7. Market the NPSP through articles, briefings, brochures, and participation in events like Child Abuse Prevention Month.
  8. Provide excellent customer service, assist clients, report hazards, and support workplace safety and EEO principles.
  9. May require travel, attendance at conferences, and flexible work hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, behavioral/social sciences, or related discipline.
  • Valid, unrestricted clinical license (social work, marriage and family therapy, LPC) with at least 2 years of experience in child or domestic abuse, maternal/child health, or related fields.
  • For RNs: Bachelor's degree in nursing, current license, and 2+ years of relevant experience, supervised by an independent clinician.
  • Knowledge of military lifestyle, laws, and procedures.
  • Ability to develop relationships with military and civilian stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license for home visits and successful background check.
