Schedule: Full-time. Weekend and holiday availability required.

Position Overview

The Purchasing Specialist will oversee and manage purchasing activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. This role will collaborate with various departments to align purchasing decisions with company goals, establish long-term vendor relationships, and streamline procurement processes. This position also includes managing package receiving and distribution, as well as coordinating pickups from local vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and maintain accurate records of all purchases, deliveries, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Compare pricing, negotiate costs, and obtain competitive quotes from vendors.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
• Review invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and implement purchasing-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage the receiving and distribution of packages and coordinate pickup of purchases from local vendors (e.g., Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain purchasing records for audit purposes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities described above is qualifying.
• An associate degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with inventory or procurement software.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Schedule

• Full-time; open availability, including occasional weekends, may be required.
