Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year 2025-2026, $1,911 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.


Other Conditions:

  • For lecturer applicant pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. Courses may be taught during the day, evening, weekend, or online.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in Speech.
  • Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  • Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  • Work under supervision of division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in discipline area.
  • As needed, work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech, Communications, or related field.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

Desirable Qualifications

  • College teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching college level speech courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations.
