Kahala Nui, considered Hawaii's premier Senior Living Community, is looking for a Director of Environmental Services to join our team!

The Director of Environmental Services is responsible for the overall leadership and management of both Housekeeping and Facilities Maintenance, including renovations and capital projects functions. This position plays a key role in ensuring that the senior living community remains clean, safe, well-maintained, and compliant with regulatory standards.

In alignment with the values of mālama—to care for, protect, and preserve—the Director is expected to foster a culture of respect, accountability, and service. The role requires professionalism, technical competence, strong leadership, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and external partners.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma and Technical degree in a related field required; Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Five years of maintenance supervision experience required.
• Working knowledge of machinery, tools, repair techniques, plumbing, and related repair.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical systems, phone systems, fire panels, emergency response systems, and disaster preparedness required.
• Proficient in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.
• Availability to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Equivalent experience or education may be substituted at the hiring manager's discretion for educational or work experience requirements.
