EPC Services Company, a leading power/utility engineering consultant and construction firm, has immediate openings for Electrical Test Engineers and Senior Test Engineers for projects in Hawaii. The successful candidates will join a team that performs testing and maintenance on medium and high voltage systems. Travel is a significant part of the job.
Test Engineer duties include: testing medium and high voltage apparatus and verifying control, protection, and alarm circuits.
Senior Test Engineers are expected to: provide setting and testing of protective relays and perform functional verification of control, protection, and alarm circuits.
Test Engineers should have a thorough understanding of Doble, Fluke, and other test equipment operation, interpret test results, read technical documentation and manuals, and be familiar with IEEE standards, ANSI/IEEE device function numbers, NETA ATS, and MTS standards.
Additional requirements for Senior Test Engineers include: understanding of substation physical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and protection philosophies, including feeder, bus, transformer, capacitor bank, and distance protections.
