Construction Superintendent - Hotel Renovation

Based out of Honolulu, for nearly 40 years we have prioritized building healthy and sustainable relationships. As a General Contractor, we handle various projects and scopes of work, primarily Commercial / Hospitality.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the renovation of a luxury hotel with a focus on room renovation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction project, ensuring quality finishes, adherence to timelines, and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations on the construction site to ensure project goals are met.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and labor to ensure timely completion of renovation tasks.
  • Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 to track progress and adjust timelines as necessary.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and engineers, to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Ensure all finish work meets high-quality standards and aligns with the project's vision.
  • Supervise and mentor foremen and crew members on-site to enhance productivity and teamwork.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in hotel or resort renovations.
  • Strong knowledge of finish work, carpentry, and interior construction processes.
  • Experience with scheduling and project management software, preferably Primavera P6.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
