Personal Lines Underwriter - Insurance - Base Salary to 100k/year - Honolulu, HI

• Our client, a multinational insurance broker, is looking for a Personal Lines Underwriter to join their team in Honolulu, HI. This role specializes in Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Automobile, and Umbrella policies.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyzing risk and underwriting personal lines policies with a specialization in Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Automobile, and Umbrella
2. Collecting relevant data and analyzing risk
3. Making decisions on whether to accept, edit, or refuse policies based on underwriting guidelines
4. Ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines
5. Reviewing policies to check for up-selling/cross selling opportunities
6. Building strong relationships with agencies
7. Keeping up with industry trends and continued training

Qualifications:

1. 1+ year experience underwriting Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Automobile, and Umbrella policies
2. Bachelor's degree in finance, business, insurance, or a related field or equivalent experience
3. CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) or AU (Associate in Underwriting) a plus

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 65k - 100k/year range
• Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance, 401k with 4% match, PTO, Paid Holidays, etc.
