We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis continues to grow in the US and is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly motivated self-starter to join our National Alternative Delivery Group as Project Document Controller in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will support the federal and commercial resources and activities for one or more Alternative Delivery projects. The candidate should possess considerable experience in the Design Build/Progressive Design Build space and will have previously held federal and commercial related roles in major projects.

The Project Document Controller partners with the Office Engineers and Project Managers. The Document Control Manager is responsible for establishing a procedural framework for collecting controlled documents, including developing and/or enhancing document controls procedures and tools.

Additionally, the role involves managing and enforcing the collection, distribution, and filing of controlled documents, including monitoring document processing and conducting periodic spot audits of document control. Training team members in document control procedures is also a key responsibility.

How will you contribute to the team?

For your assigned projects:

  • Develop and implement new document control procedures as necessary for the area of responsibility.
  • Provide training to management and technical/administrative staff in matters of document control.
  • Perform quality control reviews in the area of document control for the area of responsibility.
  • Maintain and update information on relevant TeamSite(s), if applicable.
  • Coordinate document production in legal matters.
  • Maintain the document control system in the area of responsibility.
  • Lead and manage all commercial activities related, including contract negotiation, change management, risk management, progress measurements, cost management, schedule management, and financial oversight.
  • Oversee the direction of the project's commercial resources (contract, change management, scheduling, and project controls).
  • Ensure company policies, processes, and procedures are adhered to, including Project Reviews and forecast updates.
  • Develop and implement Commercial Management Plans including Change Management Plan, Project Controls Management Plan, and Schedule Management Plan.
  • Responsible for ensuring commercial obligations under the contract are met, including reporting, change notification/estimates, schedule progress updates, and invoicing.
  • Guide the change management process including all change order negotiations with the client.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for Commercial Management for the Project Director, Project Team, and client.

Education and Experience

  • Requires five years' experience in diversified business experience in positions with administrative, clerical, and document control duties or a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer information systems, business, accounting, or computer science plus a minimum of five years (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required).
  • Strong proven Aconex experience in a Federal Design Build environment.
  • Proficiency in commercial management software and tools, particularly Aconex and SharePoint (including Planner and Power BI).
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Publisher, and Visio.
  • Strong knowledge of alternative delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build, Public-Private Partnerships).

Expected compensation range is between $62,000 - $92,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.

Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.
