PAY RANGE:
$22.00 - $25.00 Hourly **

POSITION SUMMARY:
Designs, directs, and supports the development and operations of multi-oriented programs and services for high school and college aged youth. Ensures that strategic and tactical goals of the Association and HIDOE offices are met. The Site Coordinator will support the growth of specific Y high school and college-age programs and serves as the on-site supervisor of the 21CCLC program at Roosevelt High School. Duties include: quality math and language arts tutoring, school specific enrichment, distribution of snacks, family involvement opportunities, and community engagement. Reports directly to the Teen Director. The applicant must be available to oversee 21CCLC operations on-site at Roosevelt High School, Monday through Friday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB DUTIES:
  • Communicates and coordinates directly with key stakeholders including college admission and career counselors, club advisors, sports team coaches, teachers, and school administrations to offer support services such as workshops, presentations, and mentoring for students.
  • Develop community partnerships to broaden experiences for program participants.
  • Implements quality enriched youth-led research projects and volunteer service-learning projects; offering a diverse range of college and career development opportunities.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to establish, supervise & nurture high school internships and programs.
  • Supervise a team of staff and develop their leadership skills through work experience and opportunities.
  • Administers the day-to-day operation of the program, ensuring that all the program components and SOPs are adhered to.
  • Provides supervision, assistance, and guidance to staff.
  • Conducts ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of staff and children.
  • Serves as a positive role model, and demonstrates professional behavior.
  • Works with supervisor to ensure programs and services meet community needs including supervising existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding the program within the community as needed.
  • Reinforce staff and volunteers to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.
  • Responds seriously and confidentially to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors, and responds quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organization's progressive disciplinary procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

HOURS & LOCATION:
Roosevelt High School
  • Monday: 2:15pm – 4:30pm
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 12pm – 4:30pm
  • Wednesday & Friday: 1:30pm – 4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Requires understanding of human development, group work process, program and staff development, skilled in general management and communications.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Windows XP, Power Point/LCD projector and Google Suite.
  • Must be people oriented, possess strong management and supervisory skills, be well organized and be able to multitask.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work with diverse populations (race, gender, socioeconomic status, education, age, cultures, languages, etc.)
  • Leads, innovates, and communicates with empathy to establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with community organizations.
  • Knowledge of program fiscal management.
  • Must be able to work with and lead a diverse group of individuals to produce a successful program experience for staff and participants.
Education/Training:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in after-school program planning required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in youth development or human service programs and/or activities required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supervising, coaching, or leading programs for 15–25-year-olds required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working within a non-profit organization preferred.
  • Other preferred platform knowledge: Canva, InDesign, Kronos, ActiveNet, TechSmith products, and other programs or platforms used for training, tracking, relationship management and communication preferred.
  • General office operations experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history report required.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified (training available upon hire)

**All 21CCLC positions are dependent on the availability of funds and continuation of the 21CCLC contract. The current contract provides programming for the following three school years (2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024) with the possibility of extension for an additional two years (2024-2025 and 2025-2026).#J-18808-Ljbffr
