Salary Information: Step 15 - $29,148 annual (MA Program); Step 17 - $31,524 annual (PhD Program)

Full Time/Part Time: Part-time - full time equivalency 50%

Temporary/Permanent: Temporary

Other Conditions: To begin June 2025, temporary position not to exceed May 2026. Renewal dependent upon satisfactory performance, position need and availability of funds. Pending position clearance and availability of funds.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Dean with College strategic initiatives.
  2. Work with Director of International Programs to implement various programs.
  3. Prepare promotional materials.
  4. Conduct research on programs including transfer pathways, Japan Keidanren.
  5. Prepare executive summaries, policy briefings, and data visualizations.
  6. Develop creative content for website, social media, and other outlets.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. MA or PhD classified or admitted graduate student at UHM.

Desirable Qualifications

  1. Ability to organize teams and constituencies to advance deliverables and outcomes.
  2. Demonstrated research interest in one or more CSS strategic initiatives.
  3. Able to create schedules and simple budgets using Excel.
  4. Excellent communications skills.
  5. Experience with presentational software like InDesign and Powerpoint.
