Description:

A law firm in Honolulu is seeking a highly qualified Senior Foreclosure Associate Attorney to manage cases with a focus on residential real estate litigation, mortgage, and transactional matters. The candidate will protect clients' interests in litigation proceedings and general collection cases, primarily focusing on judicial foreclosure actions. This role requires managing complex cases from start to finish, providing strategic advice, and representing clients in court hearings and trials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex cases involving residential real estate litigation, mortgage, and transactional matters.
  • Prepare thorough analyses of cases and advise clients on legal strategies.
  • Draft court pleadings, motions, and defense strategies for heavily contested matters.
  • Attend court hearings, contested motions, and conduct trials both telephonically and in person.
  • Handle other duties and special projects as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Maintain conscientiousness regarding work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance.
  • Take initiative in overcoming obstacles and implementing necessary actions.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the firm's vision, mission, and core values.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating analytical and detail-oriented skills while multitasking effectively.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and assist others within the department as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Hawaii.
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate or mortgage law practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize large and complex caseloads.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to adapt to changes and maintain a high work ethic.
