Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to facilitate preboarding and onboarding processes, coordinate post-offer activities, and ensure compliance with employment-related laws. This role involves supporting recruitment functions, maintaining accurate departmental files, and providing communication and documentation support for new hires and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate preboarding and onboarding processes.
  • Coordinate post-offer activities, including physicals, drug tests, and background checks.
  • Ensure thorough and complete background checks via third-party vendors.
  • Communicate with managers regarding new hires and temporary hires.
  • Compose new hire announcements and communications.
  • Ensure compliance of new employee documentation with employment-related laws.
  • Support recruitment functions for the organization.
  • Update and maintain job postings on internal and external websites.
  • Provide outreach to candidates.
  • Create materials such as offer letters for candidates.
  • Assist with placing staffing orders with temporary agency services.
  • Maintain documentation as required by law and policy.
  • Represent the company at job fairs and other Talent Acquisition events.
  • Maintain accurate departmental files and information systems.
  • Accurately enter and maintain data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Maintain compliant documentation for all applicants.
  • Create and communicate preboarding status reports.
  • Create and maintain employee files.
  • Support management-level recruitment.
  • Provide sourcing and outreach support.
  • Create and maintain job postings internally and externally.
  • Coordinate interviews and communicate with all parties involved.
  • Generate data reports for status updates and decision-making.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and one (1) year Human Resources experience OR Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field may be substituted for work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management (preferred).
  • Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, with one (1) year recent experience in recruitment (preferred).
  • Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) experience with PeopleSoft and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (preferred).
  • Healthcare experience (preferred).
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and/or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks simultaneously with varying deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.
  • Ability to set priorities, assess and solve problems, and make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate group processes and coordinate programs and activities.
  • Ability to project a positive and professional image on behalf of the organization.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at the DLS office. The work environment involves regular use of office equipment and technology, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional and organized workspace.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.35 - $25.86/hr.
