Position Description:
Generally, the Senior Financial Analyst supports by assisting with the planning, policy, execution, reporting, and oversight of Financial Management (FM) operations. This individual will also be called on to support Business Intelligence (BI) & Data Visualization Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Database Administer (DBA) on matters related to Marine Corps Finacial Management data sources, policy, and BI product development in database management and data visualization solutions. Occasional support in the form of formulation, evaluation, interpretation, and application of proposed and published FM policies and procedures will be required from time to time. Support Fiscal Year (FY) closeout activities, including funds execution, reconciliation, validation, and certification. Develop and deliver briefings relative to FM operations. Additionally, they will implement and maintain one of more complex databases implementing procedures to control access and allocation of data and maintain security controls. This person will apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments. Interface with internal and external stakeholders and make significant contributions to department goals and planning efforts. They will coordinate projects vertically and horizontally within a Major Subordinate Command Marine Corps staff. They will support the development and maintenance of scalable data stores that supply large amounts of data in forms needed for business analysis that leads to key leader decision making. This person will assist in the design of BI dashboards and reports for logistics and fiscal Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and data analytics tools.
This position is located in Aiea, HI.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
-Providing FM system expertise; identifying and reporting financial system problems and system process improvement requirements.
-Validation of accounting records for accuracy; performing trend analysis utilizing performance metrics.
-Tracking accounting system changes and interfaces.
-Serving as a liaison with financial stakeholders.
-Providing technical guidance on financial matters.
-Conducting evaluation and analysis of FM operations.
-Troupleshoot data issues by tracing the data flow and identify the root of cause.
-Maintain SQL queries for ad-hoc reports.
-Maintain and enhance stored procedures for production databases.
-Perform testing on the customized in-house developed web-based analytical software.
-Improve the plan/process of a project to maximize efficiency by minimizing time and effort needed.
-Confer with stakeholders to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements.
-Validate and analyze data and convert from raw data to analytical reports for decision-making purposes.
-Create schema objects such as attributes, facts, logical view, user hierarchies and transformations using Data Visualization tool (i.e. Power BI).
-Create public objects such as metrics, filters, prompts, consolidations, custom groups, reports and documents based on client's requirements using Power BI.
-Develop and maintain document services reports based on client's requirements.
-Develop and maintain custom reports to combine the data sets of multiple reports and also create customized dashboards and scorecards using report services.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelors Degree; 8 years of full-time experience (including internships) providing USMC/Navy ground of aviation Financial Management related services.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Microsoft SQL Server database Certification, Security+ Plus, preferred but not required.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $241,600.00.
