Description:

The Human Resources Assistant helps with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties. The HR Assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following areas: departmental support, HRIS (Infor system), new hire and benefits administration

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR Department
  • Filing of HR records.
  • Applicant Tracking in Infor HR Systems.
  • Call and Schedule interviews
  • Composing letters and correspondence including Memos to stores, message for events/activities reminders
  • Tardy and Absenteeism Tracking
  • Filing & recording of counseling forms.
  • New Hire Setup
      • Prepare material for orientation classes.
      • Uniforms
      • Name tags
  • I - 9 (employment eligibility forms) monitoring and follow up.
  • HR forms requested by stores.
  • Terminations processing.
  • Mass distribution/retrieval of forms.
  • Cleaning Schedule.
  • Word Processing.
      • Letters and Correspondence.
      • Memos to stores
      • Manuals Updates
      • Preparation of Training Materials & Notes.
      • Manuals and Attachment: Copy, Assembling, and Distribution.
  • First Aid Kit, Store Supplies Administration.
  • Bus Subsidy & Bus Pass Administration.
Education and/or Experience
  • Two-year Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from a Community college or a University
  • Must be able to effectively read, understand, speak, write, and communicate the English language.
