Compensation: 90000.-110000.

Our client, a prestigious, nationwide law firm dedicated to providing legal services to financial institutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Judicial Foreclosure Associate Attorney to join their winning team in Honolulu.

Our candidate of choice will manage cases with an emphasis on residential real estate litigation, mortgage and transactional matters and protect the client's interest in litigation proceedings and general collection cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend mediations, trials, and hearings, and other duties as assigned.
  • Willing and able to travel on an as-needed basis.
  • Work well with all members of the group.
  • Willing and able to write articles and make presentations to clients and trade associations.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and business development.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of five years of litigation/courtroom experience (foreclosure experience a plus).
  • Member of the state Bar while maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements.
  • Subject matter expert in their field.
  • Manage employees and P&L responsibility.
  • Proficient in performing legal research and writing.
  • Proficient in taking and defending depositions.
  • Proficient in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, as well as correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters.
  • Proficiency with Fastcase or Westlaw.
  • Well-versed in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure in both state and federal court.
