This passion is internalized through a supportive and positive work environment, healthy work/life balance, continuous communication, and a generous benefits package.The Opportunity:The Public Policy Specialist will significantly support the development, management, and implementation of public policy advocacy strategies that advance the health and well-being of our target service populations.Primary Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:Collaborate with external and internal partners to meet organizational goalsContribute to continuous improvement of deliverables and processesDemonstrate excellent customer service skills ensuring internal and external relations are conducted with a pleasant and friendly attitudeAssist with strategy implementation, coordination, and planning for all External Affairs functionsSupport the public policy program, including monitoring relevant state and federal policymaking and drafting policy updatesProduce high-quality public policy advocacy work products such as policy briefs, fact sheets, and presentationsConduct research and analysis toward the development of public policy recommendationsCommunicate effectively with a wide range of audiencesRepresent AlohaCare in public and private forumsFacilitate collaboration and partnerships among internal and external partnersSupport media projects and stakeholder inquiriesComply with department budgetary and financial processesMaintain AlohaCare's confidential information in accordance with policiesOther duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceAt least 2 years of public policy and/or government relations experienceCollaborative, positive, energetic and self-motivated team playerStrong written, oral and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office productsValid driver's license and access to an insured vehicleSalary range: $61,000 - $83,000 annuallyAlohaCare is committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all applicants in accordance with sound practices and federal and state laws.#J-18808-Ljbffr
