Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day functions of our restoration company. This key leadership role is responsible for managing field operations, project timelines, budgets, team performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction. A strong background in restoration and proficiency in Xactimate for estimating is essential.

This individual will work closely with ownership and department heads to streamline processes, drive growth, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance across all restoration projects (water, fire, mold, storm, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Oversight:
    • Lead and manage daily operations of all restoration projects from initiation to completion.
    • Monitor KPIs, ensure job profitability, and improve operational efficiency.
    • Develop and implement SOPs, policies, and procedures.
    • Manage staff scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
  2. Project Estimating:
    • Create accurate and detailed estimates using Xactimate software.
    • Review and validate estimates submitted by project managers and estimators.
    • Ensure estimates align with industry standards, insurance requirements, and job scope.
  3. Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor project managers, technicians, and administrative staff.
    • Support recruiting, training, and performance evaluations of operational staff.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  4. Customer & Vendor Relations:
    • Ensure top-tier customer service and communication throughout each project.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters, vendors, and subcontractors.
  5. Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
    • Provide regular operational reports to ownership including project updates, financials, and team metrics.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in restoration or construction operations.
  • 3+ years of experience estimating with Xactimate (Level 2 Certification).
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams.
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims processes and restoration protocols.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, etc.).
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., DASH, Job-Dox, Encircle).
  • Prior experience scaling operations or opening new locations a plus.
