This is a multi-level recruitment for 25-082TY Information Technology Specialist III (Help Desk) and 25-083TY Information Technology Specialist IV (Help Desk).
Note: This position requires a current and valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.
Summary Of Duties
The position supervises Information Technology Support Technicians in providing end-user support services for the First Circuit's computer users; provides expert technical IT assistance to First Circuit staff; and serves as a technical resource and advisor on IT related issues. The position researches software and system applications to meet the operational needs of the First Circuit; analyzes and determines computer and infrastructure requirements; serves as a business analyst to help define and document business processes and requirements of projects; interacts with project teams and users; serves as project manager; makes recommendations; and serves as a liaison between the First Circuit and the Information Technology & Systems Department.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree. Excess experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Specialized Experience: Three and one-half (3½) years of responsible professional work experience in information technology which involved systems analysis, design, programming, security and access management, database design and management, consulting, and/or installing and maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, web or network infrastructure equipment.
Selective Certification Requirement: This position requires at least one (1) year of Specialized Experience with IT Help Desk including end user support services.
Selective Certification Requirement - Driver's License: Due to the driving duties of the position, applicants must possess a valid and unexpired driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.
Supervisory Aptitude: Supervisory aptitude rather than actual supervisory experience may be accepted.
