DUTIES SUMMARY: This position independently performs professional, administrative, fiscal, and analytical work in the coordination, application, monitoring, evaluating, and administering federal, state, local, and private grants and other programs for the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney. This position will assist with the administration of the departmental budget to advise the Prosecuting Attorney on the general financial status of the department. This position will assist with the administration of the department's human resources program, which may include recruitment, matters of labor relations, and addressing related grievances and complaints. This position also assists with the requisition, administration, and monitoring of general funded contracts.
The position applies a thorough knowledge of federal and state application processes for criminal justice grants, criminal justice programs; ability to interpret grant and program requirements, monitor compliance performance, conduct research in the area of criminal justice grants and programs. This position also applies a knowledge of basic principles and practices of public administration including personnel management, budget and fiscal administration, organization and method analysis; municipal government organization, functions, and operations; organize the work of multiple assignments to comply with strict deadlines, work effectively with others, identify problems or potential problems; and skills in the competent use of personal computers, related software applications and systems, coordination of assignments, effective communication, and time management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training and Experience: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in city planning, sociology, business or public administration or a related field, and one year of research or analytical experience in social, economic or community development programs.
Substitution: A Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for the required one year of professional work experience in research or analytical experience in social, economic or community development programs.
