In the role of Construction Project Representative, we'll count on you to:

  • This is a staff augmented position to support the Owner and company employees at a solid waste management facility located on the west side of Oahu (minimum 1-year commitment).
  • Support the Owner's interest on larger, more complex and smaller construction projects in a heavy industrial processing setting.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of 3rd party operator/construction site activity and produce required reports on progress, safety, quality, permit compliance, schedule, and budget status.
  • Review construction submittals, requests for information, shop drawings, pay applications, change orders and other documents on behalf of the Owner.
  • Assist with project audit and closeout tasks requested by the Owner.
  • Review and analyze baseline and updated construction schedules.
  • Coordinate activities with project team members, including the Owner, Engineer, Operator/Contractor.
  • Participate in problem solving and value engineering approaches focused on achieving cost savings while ensuring quality and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction or design certifications.
  • Experience with estimating software (Timberline), scheduling software (Primavera P3 or SureTrak), project management software (Prolog), and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the Owner.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.
  • Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
