INTRODUCTION
This position will serve as one of three executives in the College of Education (COE), Dean's Office, University of Hawaii at Manoa. This position will be organizationally located in the Dean's Office and will work in tandem to effectively provide research, administrative and academic leadership in the College. This position will coordinate and ensure effective leadership of research programs funded by State/Federal, private, foundation and non-government organizations in the College of Education.

AUTHORITY AND DECISION-MAKING EXERCISED
This position will make final decisions on extramurally funded contract and grants, Outreach College agreements, Dean's Office administrative tasks, and decisions when the Dean is on travel or leave.
DIRECTION AND REVIEW OF WORK RECEIVED
This position will perform work under the general supervision of the Dean.
CONTACTS AND RELATIONSHIPS
Work involves considerable contact with senior system and campus administrators, professional societies and organizations, accrediting agencies, faculty committees, department chairs, support staff, state and federal agencies, including the departments of education, and legislative bodies.
