Job Summary:
Working under the direct supervision of the Divisional Director of Development, the Marketing and Communications Director (MCD) will set and guide the strategy for all marketing communications, public relations, and collateral to consistently articulate The Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division's mission. The MCD will maximize the Army's advertising and/or digital dollars in the community to educate and inform current and future donors while upholding branding standards set by The Salvation Army National Headquarters. The MCD will manage the social media and Digital Marketing Specialist and collaborate with multiple stakeholders within the organization to facilitate initiatives. The MCD will also elevate the reputation of The Salvation Army in Hawaii and the Pacific Islands as the trusted organization for positive change and impact in the community. The candidate must anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, meet deadlines with little supervision, and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (*Advanced degree preferred) and/or 5+ years related work experience. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite, Trello, Adobe's Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other software used in marketing and communications management.
