Currently looking for a Project Manager to fill a Construction opening for large commercial construction projects with a global commercial metals & steel company in Hawaii. Ideal candidates will have prior experience working in Hawaii and have a heavy commercial civil construction background preferably in highways, bridges, stadiums, retail and large hotels.

Responsibilities of the Construction Project Manager

1. Manage multiple projects to successful completion and enjoy interfacing with clients and colleagues across the organization.
2. Allocate resources and personnel. Monitor and coordinate project details to ensure progress is completed on schedule and within budget.
3. Review project status with clients and management.
4. Other tasks as directed.

Requirements of the Construction Project Manager

1. Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or Business Administration.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial, Retail, Heavy Civil, Bridge, or Large Hotel projects in the construction industry.
3. General contracting and project management experience preferred.
4. Minimum 5 years of experience with large construction projects in Construction Project Management.
5. Minimum 1 year in a Hawaii business setting.
6. Rebar and/or concrete experience highly preferred.
7. Solid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumen.
8. Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawings.
9. Strong client facing and communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Skilled in scheduling, planning, organizing and prioritizing work.
11. Ability to effectively delegate tasks and influence others.
12. Creative thinking and problem solving abilities.
13. Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office products.
14. Good time management skills with the ability to work independently.
15. Ability to carry and/or lift up to 30 lbs. and climb stairs when necessary.
