Performs responsible professional engineering work in supervising a large engineering section or assists in directing the activities of a major engineering division or bureau; supervises the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required.
There are three (3) vacancies with the Department of Environmental Services, Wastewater Engineering and Construction Division in multiple branches:
Special Work Requirements: Occasional exposure to construction and traffic hazards, sewage gases, sewer treatment chemicals, paint fumes, noise, electrical hazards, and moving equipment. Some physical dexterity is required to perform field investigations. Regular hours are anticipated but may require shift, evening, night, weekend, or holiday work. Will serve as Disaster Response Worker during declared civil defense emergencies.

Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty.

Three years of registered professional Civil Engineering experience, including or supplemented by one year in supervising or being responsible for an engineering operation or function.
