Key Responsibilities:

  1. Increase new business sales through establishing strong, consultative partnerships with major worksite and voluntary benefit distributors.
  2. Learn and stay informed on health care trends, market intelligence, and product information for all product solutions within voluntary benefits.
  3. Establish, update, and manage target account lists and pipeline management.
  4. Follow a comprehensive sales process that includes marketing programs, educational seminars, and customer needs analysis meetings.
  5. Manage both external and internal stakeholders throughout the sales process.
  6. Contribute to sales planning, forecasting, and product development.
  7. Generate new business opportunities by leveraging existing relationships and conducting market analysis.
  8. Monitor and report on competition to evaluate Trustmark's position in the marketplace.
  9. Utilize Salesforce.com for activity reporting, forecasting, business requests, workflow management, travel bookings, and expense reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 5 years of Voluntary product sales or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience generating and analyzing reports to enhance sales or customer experience.
  3. Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and handle conflict with minimal oversight.
  5. Exceptional organizational skills.
  6. Interpersonal effectiveness with proven ability to establish/maintain mutually respectful relationships.
  7. Capable of operating the complete MS Office Suite.
