What You'll DoElevate the well-being of residents, clients, members, employees, and guests by ensuring a pristine and organized environment. Maintains the grounds & landscapes at Arcadia, 15 Craigside, clients' and members' homes.
Arcadia Retirement Residence- Full-Time (40 hours per week) Monday to Friday 6:30am to 2:30pm
Pay RangeResponsibilities - Maintains grounds, which includes mowing the lawns, pruning hedges, shrubs, trees, and gardens; edging walkways; and watering.
- Cleans grounds, garden paths, walkways and removes litter daily.
- Applies fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides to grounds at specified intervals.
- Tests irrigation system and makes needed repairs.
- Implements special landscaping or planting projects as directed.
- Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
- Empties external rubbish containers.
- Operates equipment such as gas powered lawn mower, weed whacker, blower, pruner, trimmer, pressure washer and other tools as required ensuring safety at all times.
- Performs regular maintenance and minor repairs on the ground equipment and tools.
- Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Manual.
- Ensures department compliance with company, state and federal safety guidelines.

Education/ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCurrent driver's license and a clear driver's abstract.
