Position: Operations Analyst

Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: $26/hour

Experience: Related experience desired; laboratory experience in microbiology preferred

Education: 4-year degree in food science, biological science or related subject, or equivalent experience and education

Type: Full-time; Temp to Hire!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift (8-hour workday, must be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed)

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking an Operations Analyst to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Monitor and advance the safety and quality of programs
• Perform pre-operational and process checks throughout the production and warehousing facilities
• Monitor HACCP critical control points
• Oversee processes to verify compliance with federal, state, and company standards and policies
• Calibrate and maintain equipment
• Schedule and take samples to submit to external laboratories for results (environmental swabs, nutritional analysis, etc.)
• Assist in training employees on food safety, company processes, and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices
• Maintain accurate records and inventory of supplies
• Recommend, champion, and execute program enhancements

Position Requirements:

• Knowledge of FDA GMPs and HACCP principles
• Knowledge of food safety principles and lab experience in a food processing facility
• Basic computer operation skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and email functions
• Possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
• Ability to understand and operate basic product testing equipment
• Basic math and research skills
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and attention to detail-skills
• Excellent communication and creative problem-solving skills
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
