This position is responsible for pulling for our customer orders in a timely and efficient manner with emphasis on quality of products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPS) and Job Safety (refer to your Employee Handbook).
Pulls the customers' orders (boxing, labeling and shrink wrap each order).
Memorizations of each delivery route (customers on each route, the produce each customer orders and the sequence in which the orders will be delivered).
Completes Pre-operation log each day (Inspection of the produce pulling area for cleanliness).
Replenishes cleanser and sanitizer containers daily.
Cleans and maintain work area and reefers which includes: Cleaning and sanitizing the tables and scales, sweeping the floors especially under the tables, turn off scales, picking up produce off the ground in the coolers, etc.
Cleans and put equipment away at the end of the shift, i.e. wagons, baskets, brooms and dust pans, crates, boxes, etc.
Others duties as assigned, i.e. running of produce, rotation of produce, cleaning of warehouse, etc
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
Produce knowledge preferred but not necessary.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently required.
Forklift certification a plus but will train.
Must be able to work in a refrigerated area, (temperatures range from 30 to 50 degrees
Fahrenheit).
Ability to read pounds and tenth of pounds on a scale.
Must be able to be on your feet for the entire shift.
Must be able to work in the evenings/overnight.
Must be able to work overtime & weekends.
Work involves frequent lifting of product weighing up to 501bs.
Temperatures in the warehouse range from 30 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit
