Founded at Punahou in 2005 to serve public middle school students, the goal of the program is to spark a love of learning that will encourage students to attend college. Partnerships in Unlimited Educational Opportunities (PUEO) utilizes the facilities and faculty at Punahou for a seven-year educational experience of summer school classes and small group mentoring. During the academic year, students participate in several group activities. PUEO is a partnership with the Hawai'i State Department of Education.
The PUEO administrative team plays an important role in supporting faculty as they attend to the social-emotional learning of our students via intentional opportunities to foster empathy, resilience, moral reasoning, and social responsibility. The Administrative Assistant will provide diversified administrative support and project assistance requiring excellent communication, organization, time management, planning, problem-solving and client services skills, and outstanding administrative abilities as this area of the school continues to evolve and expand.
