Position Title: General Maintenance Laborer

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview: The General Maintenance Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the integrity and the aesthetic appeal of landscapes in accordance with L ahi Landscaping s sustainability values and practices. This position will focus on the upkeep of residential and commercial landscapes using all-electric equipment and eco-friendly techniques.

I. Scope of Work:
- Maintenance of various landscapes across O ahu, focusing on native plant care, ecological health, and aesthetic standards.

II. General Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and weeding using electric-powered equipment and removal of debris.
2. Participate in the installation on design and installation projects, irrigation inspection and maintenance of irrigation systems.
3. Load and unload heavy equipment or landscaping materials from vehicles.
4. Apply organic fertilizers and sustainable pest control solutions, following prescribed
ecological practices to minimize environmental impact.
5. Collaborate with team members to successfully maintain client accounts.
6. Support clear cutting services when necessary, prioritizing the preservation of the native ecology.
7. Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working condition and stored securely.
8. Report any issues or observations that might require the attention of the supervisor, contributing to continuous improvement.
9. Maintain a professional attitude and rapport with fellow team members.
10. Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.

III. Qualifications:
1. Experience in landscaping or groundskeeping required.
2. Ability to perform physical labor and operate maintenance equipment and lift at least 75 lbs.
3. Punctuality and professionalism.
4. Embodies principles of equity and respect, actively opposing racism and any form of discrimination in the workplace.
5. General interest in native Hawaiian plants and ecological landscaping practices.
6. Eagerness to learn and adopt sustainable landscaping techniques.
7. Strong work ethic and ability to work well within a team.
8. Commitment to L ahi Landscaping s values of ecological preservation and technological innovation.
9. Valid State ID.

IV. Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

V. Work Environment:
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Operation of all-electric landscaping equipment.
- Active participation in a team-oriented environment.

Employment Type:
Part-time /Full-time position
$15-25/hr
