EMPLOYER RELATIONS COORDINATOR / CAREER ADVISOR
As a member of the Office of Advising & Career Development (ACD), the Coordinator/Advisor is the main point-of-contact for Chaminade University students, interested employers and the community. The coordinator/advisor engages undergraduate students in promoting their professional development for career preparation and career attainment. This position is responsible for establishing & maintaining employer relations, resulting in career and internship opportunities for Chaminade students. The coordinator/advisor is responsible for providing training to advisors within the ACD office on general career advising, career-related event planning, and data management. In addition to employer relations & career advising duties, the coordinator/advisor also supports the ACD Office with various aspects of the Division including but not limited to specific duties related to Retention, Transition, and Career Development. The successful candidate will value the developmental opportunities of a small campus setting, enjoy working on a team, be able to manage time efficiently, keep organized, and handle multiple tasks. This position reports to the Director of Advising & Career Development.
Preferred Experience: Experience working with Pacific Islander, Asian American, and local Hawaii students highly preferred. Experience with outreach and relationship building preferred.
Skills: Excellent working knowledge of computers; strong communication skills – written and oral; experience analyzing data and preparing reports. Knowledge of various computer programs and software including Microsoft Office and Google Applications
