Shift Pattern: Varied (union role) Open availability required includes weekdays and holidays; shifts will be dependent on business levels and seniority scheduling.

Pay Range: $28.24 - $36.57

What will I be doing?

Night Auditors post & balance charges including, but not limited to, restaurant checks, banquet checks, laundry charges and miscellaneous charges into the Hilton Property Management System® (OnQ). The Night Auditor is responsible for rolling the PMS to the next business day. Additionally, the Night Auditors are tasked with ensuring that all computer systems are functioning properly and communicate any challenges with the Hilton Hawaiian Village Information Technology Department and/or OnQ Support. Specifically, you would be responsible for the following:

  • Balances all guest credit card transactions with Fusebox and submits the batch.
  • Initiates end-of-day procedure, ensuring all processes have occurred correctly and changes the backup tape.
  • Balance the Net-Tray, research and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prints & distributes various reports including, but not limited to, detailed transaction reports, cashier cash balance reports, etc. and delivers paperwork to Finance for the F&B audit.
  • Handles all computer challenges which may occur throughout the shift ensures that all affected parties are notified; this includes the notification of IT Support along with the maintenance of a log, detailing all related challenges.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Process Advance Deposits and clear House Accounts. Also account for all paid out back-ups and issue an email for anything missing.
  • Balances telephone charges to the system transaction list. Balance shop and Xerox charges to OnQ.

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION

Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school education required. Some lower-division college business coursework is desirable.

EXPERIENCE

One year experience in hotel night audit preferred.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.

GROOMING

All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

NOTICE:

Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting items weighing up to and including 20 - 50 lbs. may be required. The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • General knowledge of accounting operations. Aptitude for figures.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using various software such as all Microsoft Office® applications, Homisco®, $ in the Bank®, HPMS®, Forecast
  • Management System® (FMS), & MICROS® food & beverage point of sale system.
  • Basic mathematical skills and abilities to operate a 10-key by touch rapidly and to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Ability to accurately input/type 35 words per minute.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language sufficient to communicate with employees and staff and to perform all essential job functions.
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry a maximum of 20-50 lbs.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push/pull to retrieve and re-file various binders and files at levels up to 6 feet high and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit and work continuously for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to effectively deal with employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of their concern, demonstrating empathy with the employee and providing positive and proactive solutions.
  • Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after employee begins work.
  • Ability to effectively work the overnight shift with no demonstrated decline in productivity or accuracy.
  • Ability to efficiently operate a modern photocopier.
  • Basic knowledge of Front Office cashiering and/or hotel Night Audit operations.
