The Historic Residence Caretaker is responsible for the upkeep, cleanliness, and general maintenance of the President's historic residence and its adjacent pavilion, which serve as both a private home and a venue for events. This role blends custodial, light maintenance, pet care, and event-support responsibilities, requiring discretion, trustworthiness, and a strong service orientation.
Reporting to the Physical Plant with a dotted-line relationship to the Office of the President, the Caretaker ensures the property is safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for the President, family, guests, and event partners. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in both housekeeping and light facility maintenance, with a respect for the unique requirements of caring for a historic property.
