Pharmacy Performance Analyst at HMSA

Location: Honolulu, HI (Hybrid Work Environment – Must reside in Hawaii)

Employment Type: Full-time; Exempt

Pay Range: $59,000 - $116,000; typically start between minimum and middle of range.

Job Summary: The Pharmacy Data Analyst collaborates with HMSA business units to deliver actionable information supporting enterprise and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Align enterprise and business unit goals, strategies and operational needs to identify and produce high‑value analytics.
  • Develop comprehensive data and analytic requirements.
  • Gather and synthesize information from multiple sources to derive insights that support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between internal and external teams for shared understanding and high‑quality data products.
  • Prepare and present relevant and actionable information.
  • Translate business needs into D&A solutions while fostering relationships with HMSA departments and clinical partners.
  • Research and data analysis: provide objective analysis, identify trends, develop analysis frameworks, prepare reports, present results, implement solutions.
  • Support business unit reporting and run ad‑hoc analyses.
  • Cross‑functional integration and communication: engage with business units, act as a conduit between stakeholders, maintain documentation.
  • Perform advanced analytics including statistical techniques, machine learning, predictive modeling, cohort matching.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience writing reports and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience with technical requirements writing.
  • Statistical analysis knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues, collect data and interpret information.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Outlook/Email.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Experience with SQL.
