Starting salary may be at the minimum and maximum salary listed above and will be determined by the hiring authority based on qualifications. This position is responsible for conducting research and analysis on the Judiciary's legislative matters to support the courts and programs, and for assisting the Budget and Program Review Director and/or designee with special projects and departmental initiatives. It researches, drafts, and prepares proposed legislation and testimony for the Judiciary's legislative package, monitors bills and resolutions affecting the Judiciary, and communicates legislative updates to courts and programs. The position also coordinates implementation of enacted laws, develops systems and procedures for legislative coordination, and maintains related databases and resources. In addition, it provides professional and analytical support for departmental projects, conducts studies to improve efficiency and operations, and assists in reviewing and developing departmental policies and practices.
Education Requirement: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree. Progressively responsible experience in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which has provided a general background of the type and quality described below may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Experience of a routine clerical nature is not qualifying.
Specialized Experience: Three and one-half (3-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience which demonstrated knowledge of research methods and techniques, written analyses, evaluation and recommendations for the resolution of problems.
