The National Security Sector provides technology-enabled services and mission software for defense and intel customers in cyber, logistics, security operations, and decision analytics.

The National Security Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Computer Forensics Specialist to work in Honolulu, HI. Primary location for this effort is Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), Hawaii. Other possible locations: Denver, CO; Minneapolis, MN; and Ft. Worth, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct forensic analysis of computers and storage devices to recover, identify, and evaluate deleted, damaged, or manipulated data, including documents, images, and emails.
  • Utilize forensic tools and investigative methods to uncover, analyze, and interpret electronic data such as internet history, word processing documents, and hidden or lost files.
  • Produce and disseminate technical intelligence reports and cyber briefings for senior leadership and intelligence stakeholders.
  • Perform predictive intelligence analysis on adversaries' cyberspace signatures, capabilities, force missions, and TTPs.
  • Coordinate with national agencies, theater organizations, and internal teams to share knowledge, identify adversarial TTPs, and support cyber planning and operations.
  • Identify intelligence gaps, evaluate collected intelligence, and research adversaries' cyberspace capabilities and vulnerabilities.
  • Advise as a subject matter expert on digital forensics and network defense, and assist in developing new forensic processes, training, and mentoring of personnel.

Clearance

  • Current TS/SCI Clearance.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education

  • Bachelors degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in incident detection, incident response, cyber security, and digital forensics.
  • Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, VSX, and Endpoint Security.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, or PowerShell.
  • Strong awareness of current cybersecurity trends, hacking techniques, and digital forensics best practices.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education

  • Experience supporting USINDOPACOM.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification
  • Certification through ISFCE or IACIS.

Pay Range

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
